Trianz and USC's Center for Telecommunications Management (CTM) undertake research into Business Execution

Silicon Valley based professional services Firm Trianz announced the launch of a major research initiative centered around the theme of business execution along with the University of Southern California's Center for Telecommunications Management (CTM) and the Marshall School of Business.
Spanning multiple industries and companies of various sizes, this multi-phased research initiative will initially focus on how US businesses are leveraging and translating strategy into results, communicating within their eco-systems and creating new business models along the value chain.
"Trianz helps business leaders translate strategy into action with a clearly defined emphasis on innovation with practicality and investments that produce results" said Sri Manchala, President and CEO of Trianz. "This research will produce valuable insight into how success can be achieved with strategic initiatives that help businesses in reaching out to customers, improving productivity and efficiencies through the value chain."
The first phase of the study will reach out to executives in the Healthcare, Financial Services, Bio-technology, Entertainment, High-technology and Manufacturing industries. With a combination of interviews with business leaders and surveys, researchers from the University of Southern California's Center for Telecommunications (CTM) will research into the theme of 'outcome oriented execution' to enable corporate business strategies, successful approaches to building comprehensive capabilities and mechanisms to track business value from internet initiatives.
The team will be headed by Dr. Omar El Sawy, Director of Research at CTM. He will be joined by Dr. Sampath Rajgopalan, Chair of the Department of Information and Operations Management and Dr. Arvind Bhambri, Professor in Management and Organizations and other associates from USC's Marshall School of Business.
"We are very excited with this initiative" said Jim Musfeldt, Vice President at Trianz and a member of the research team. "The findings will allow Trianz to combine real world experience, with leading edge practices to deliver innovative strategies and solutions that produce business results for Clients."
USC and Trianz will jointly publish the results of this initiative in 2004 for the benefit of Trianz Clients, the industry, practitioners and academia.
