Cisco Systems Goes Live With Oracle 11i CRM Applications
San Jose, CA

Cisco Systems, Inc. and Trianz today announced the successful completion of Oracle 11i CRM Applications implementation which will support Cisco Systems service sales, marketing and delivery organizations. These organizations are responsible for sales and delivery of technical support, product spares, and professional services to Cisco customers worldwide. In July 2001, Cisco made the decision to replace legacy systems with Oracle 11i Service Contracts, Install Base, Advance Pricing, and Service-Coverage Templates, to be the interfaced with industry leading E-commerce platforms, allowing for optimal management of their service business. Cisco, Trianz, Oracle Corporation, and other specialized vendors partnered in an intense effort over an 11-month period, resulting in the timely and successful launch of Oracle 11i Service CRM applications.Cisco and Trianz partnered closely together on a variety of aspects of this complex solution, as applications were successfully rolled out to Cisco employees, customers, and channel partners in the Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Middle East."In terms of the architectural complexity, the size of data which exceeds 1.3 terabytes supporting a few hundred thousand and over a 100 million install base records, this ranks in the top three Oracle CRM implementations worldwide," said Trianz President and CEO Sri Manchala, "Indeed, the implementation saw some industry records shaken up in some complex areas such as architecture, applications integration, and data migration."

"What made the difference was our ability to understand Cisco's complex but sophisticated business process and IT landscape and mapping of a wide variety of functions that these Oracle applications were to perform. Ultimately our partnership approach with the client, close engagement with Oracle, and selection of best-of-breed consultants helped us to achieve these results in record time," commented Sanjay Shitole, Trianz Senior Director and team leader of the architectural effort, on the implementation. On this implementation, the Trianz team was involved in high-level areas such as program management, architecture and design all the way up to data migration and applications roll out worldwide."We are looking forward to future projects, where we can assist additional clients in upgrades to their Oracle installations, or implementing the 11i CRM platform," said Jon Winters, Vice President of Trianz's Enterprise Solutions Group, of which the Oracle practice forms a key part. "Our knowledge of the latest in Oracle applications, outstanding talent of seasoned professionals, coupled with a partnership approach with our clients, Oracle Corporation and other vendors, will pave the way for similar successes in the future."
