THE BUSINESS CHALLENGE

- Using our proprietary calculator the TCO for Hadoop deployed as a web service was compared with Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) deployed on AWS infrastructure (AWS Elastic Compute Cloud - EC2)
- Proposed Simple Storage Service (S3), Elastic Block Store (EBS) and AWS EC2 instance store (ephemeral storage) as options for AWS storage in the Hadoop deployment architectures
