Santa Clara, California, June 05, 2023 – Digital transformation software and technology services firm Trianz was honored to sponsor the Big Cheese Class Reunion, a 20th Anniversary Gala celebrating two decades of connecting Boston Public Schools (BPS) students with corporate and community leaders. The Big Cheese is an Initiative by Boston Partners in Education. The event, which took place at the Boston Marriott Copley Place, was a tremendous success.
As a sponsor of the Big Cheese Gala Class Reunion, Trianz joined forces with Boston Partners in Education to provide mentoring support for 10 BPS students - a testament to Trianz' dedication to community involvement and support of education initiatives. The 20th anniversary gala brought together over 250 attendees, including Big Cheese alumni, donors, educators, and mentors, to celebrate the program's continued success. The Mayor of Boston marked this important milestone by proclaiming May 5, 2023, as Big Cheese Day in the City of Boston. Leading education champions in Boston took center stage at the event, highlighting the power of community in creating opportunities for young individuals.
"We are honored to be a part of this milestone celebration," said Sri Manchala, CEO of Trianz and author of Crossing the Digital Faultline. "As a company that believes in investing in the future of our community, supporting the Big Cheese Gala Class Reunion is a meaningful way to do that. We are delighted to provide mentorship support for 10 BPS students and contribute to the education and leadership development in Boston. We look forward to continuing to support initiatives that empower youth and strengthen our community."
"On behalf of Boston Partners in Education, thank you for Trianz's generous sponsorship of the 2023 Big Cheese Reads Gala," said Erin M. McGrath, Executive Director, Boston Partners in Education. “Your investment directly supports Boston Partners' academic mentorship programs, which serve BPS students across all grade levels and in all subject areas. Our academic mentors are serving more than a thousand students at more than 60 school partners this year, providing critical support in the face of challenges like pandemic learning loss, the youth mental health crisis, and the persistent effects of racial and economic injustice."
The Big Cheese Reads, an Initiative by Boston Partners in Education, was launched in 2004 to bring the nation's first CEO-driven academic mentoring campaign to Boston – a unique opportunity to inspire and motivate Boston's future leaders. Over 20 years, the initiative has introduced thousands of BPS students to hundreds of Boston's corporate, civic, and community leaders.
